Social Distancing Signs & Mats

Ensure safe Social Distancing with signs and mats

Times have certainly changed. Who'd have imagined a year ago that we would feel the need to cross the road when someone walked towards you, or do a giant circle as if to avoid a puddle. During these unprecedented times it is, however strange and unnatural it feels, paramount that we all follow the government guidelines.

Social distancing is basically, the art of not getting too close to another person. This may happen in the form of a merry jig as two people meet from opposite directions and try to step aside. Or simply by staying at home and only making essential trips out.

Whichever way you choose to limit close contact with someone not in your household, during the Covid-19 pandemic maintaining a safe distance from each other to help prevent the spread of the deadly disease is essential.

Make your business Covid-19 safe with effective social distancing signs

There are a wide range of signs and mats available specifically designed for Social Distancing. The two metre rule, or 1 metre plus is made easier to stick to when signage and floor mats are used.

When you're standing in a queue and your mind is wandering, have you remembered all the shopping you set out to get? It's easy to accidentally get too close to the person in front. Using floor marking tape to mark out a 2 metre gap will help focus customers, and prevent them getting too close to each other.

Staying at least 6 feet away from another person will dramatically reduce the risk of you spreading a disease to another person via invisible airborne droplets. It will also help protect you from catching a virus.

As the old saying goes, coughs and sneezes spread diseases. So help reduce the spread of covid-19 stick to what the signs say and keep your distance!

Enhance easy physical distancing with floor mats

Social distancing floor mats offer a reminder of where to stand to stay safe. These are ideal for use in pubs, bars and other public areas where people may be queuing or waiting. They also offer a non-slip and washable surface which helps to keep things sanitary.

Floor mats are available with various social distancing messages such as, 'stop, keep your distance', 'protect yourself and others', 'stop covid-19 spreading', 'please respect distancing and 'please wait here'.

Or you might like to choose floor mats with arrows to help mark out one way systems.

Signs to remind you to wash your hands

There's never been a better time to get into the habit of regularly washing and sanitising your hands. Placing signs around your workplace is a great idea to remind staff and visitors of the importance of properly washing hands and using hand sanitiser. Hand sanitiser is particularly important in helping to prevent the spread of disease. It only takes one infected person to touch a common touch point such as a light switch or door handle for a virus such as coronavirus covid-19 to spread to several hundred people.

Social Distancing floor stickers and floor tapes

Floor stickers with physical distancing messages and floor marking tapes offer a way of simply pointing out no-go areas or places to stand. Floor marking tapes in a range of different colours are an effective way of showing walkways or can be used to mark out 2 metre or 1 metre plus distances.

Social distancing measures should be in place pretty much everywhere. Venues where, ordinarily people would come into close contact such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants, hair dressers, theatres and gyms must ensure that social distancing guidelines are met.

If you want to make a real impact in queue management and control, you could even invest in a traffic light system. The traffic light queue management systems are an electronically controlled way of limiting and managing the number of customers in a shop. They can also be used to control the flow of people through high traffic areas. These include entrances to leisure attractions such as a zoo, theme park or shopping centre.

Doing your bit to keep yourself and others safe

The symptoms of coronavirus may not be apparent, with mild cases a person may not even be aware that they have contracted the virus. In some ways this means they are an even higher risk to public as they should actually be in isolation. Hence, why we all must adhere to the government guidelines on social distancing and social interaction. You simply don't know who might have the virus.

Try not to take everything you might read on social media as gospel. This can lead to scaremongering and cause unnecessary worry and anxiety. Take advice from official channels and try not to panic.

If you feel like you might have coronavirus symptoms, get yourself a test, take a look at the NHS online services for advice and symptom checking or you can call NHS 111 for further help.

We also supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing, such as face masks, gloves and aprons.

Stay Safe.
