Substances that pose potential health and safety risks, such as chemicals and paints and other hazardous materials need to be kept in a safe place. Hazardous substance cupboards are designed to hold them securely. These hazardous substance cupboards are constructed out of steel and are fitted with reinforced doors. Additional security is provided by a 3-point locking system. Added features include BioCote protection with the powder coat paint finish to reduce any risk of cross-contamination. All the cupboards incorporate a 35-litre fully welded integral sump to catch any leaks and spillages.

The steel structure will last for years and require little maintenance. The adjustable shelving also allows storage space to be maximised.

There are safety features for staff accessing the cupboards. The door handle sits flush and eliminates the danger of snagging when hazardous substances are being handled. For smaller cupboards there is also a flush fitting handle, but camlock locking comes as standard.

Crucially, all the hazardous substance cupboards have been assessed by independent bodies as meeting Health and Safety at Work legislation requirements and conform to HSG51 and SR24. All the cupboards further meet Health and Safety regulations by providing high visibility labels conforming to BS5609. The labels stipulate: corrosive materials, highly flammable, or harmful materials.

There are no fewer than 12 types of hazardous substance cupboards available to order. Some are available with shelving. The smallest weighs 8 kg and the largest 58 kg. The wide range of hazardous substance cupboards available presents companies with the choice of a product which best meets their needs.
